September 22, 2008 (Sawf News) - The release of Womanizer, the first single from Britney's upcoming sixth studio album Circus, has been delayed by at least a week due to an undisclosed issue with "the mix." The single was to premiere on radio stations on Monday, September 22.
"The mix was not finalized," a source told E! News, suggesting that Britney's label, Jive / Zomba, was not satisfied with the manner in which the vocals and music were blended.
A grim sounding 40 sec snippet of Womanizer with bad acoustics and static was posted on the web site of Nashville radio station 107.5-FM last week.
The radio station recorded the snippet over a phone line when Britney's label played a rough mix of the song to them. It later removed the snippet at the label's request.
Circus is set to drop on Dec 2, Britney's 27th birthday, reports ET online.
