September 19, 2008 (Sawf News) - Britney Spears will perform Womanizer, the first to be released single from her sixth studio album Circus, in UK in December on X-Factor, her first UK performance since her Onyx Hotel tour in April 2004 in support of her album In the Zone.
"Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs," a source close to the show reportedly told The Sun.
The X Factor, hosted by Simon Cowell, is a reality TV music talent show.
Meanwhile, an 'acoustically' grim snippet of Womanizer was posted on the Web site of Nashville radio station 107.5-FM The River.
The radio station recorded the snippet over a phone line when Britney's label played a rough mix of the song for them, which was the reason for the bad acoustics and static.
The radio station posted the snippet on their website but later removed it at the label's request.
