It was shot in Avilés, Barcelona and Oviedo.

She accessorized with white peep toe platform pumps, diamond dangler earrings, diamond bracelet on her left wrist and a diamond ring on her left hand middle finger.

According to Daily Mail the French branch of Warner Brothers Films, distributors of Vicky Cristina Barcelona in France, refused to accept some of Johansson's diva demands, such as allowing her to bring her own exclusive make-up consultant at a cost of 5,000 Euros a day, and a hotel 25-30 miles away from the rest of the film's cast and crew.
Oscar-winner Javier Bardem also skipped the premiere due to personal family problems.
