April 23, 2008 (Sawf News) - Jordan Pruitt launched the Samsung Hope for Education 2008 with a special performance at the Samsung Experience Store in the Time Warner Building in New York City, April 22.

Samsung has partnered with the teen pop star for its annual program in partnership with Microsoft Corporation. Under it more than $7 million in Samsung technology and software were provided to K-12 schools in the United States.
This year DIRECTV, Inc will be added as the new partner who will provide cash grants and a lifetime of educational television programming to the contest.

Jordan Pruitt's new album from Hollywood Records will be released this July. Her debut album, No Ordinary Girl, was released in 2007, for which she also co-wrote most of the songs. The 16-year-old toured with The Jonas Brother, Drake Bell and Corbin Bleu during summer 2007.
