London, Aug 22 (ANI): To mark the tenth anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, the BBC has decided to rerun the entire funeral of the late royal.

The entire funeral, which lasted 7hr 40mins, will be played on digital channel BBC Parliament on Saturday, September 1, reports The Sun.

The rerun will also start at the same time coverage of the funeral began on September 6 1997 - 8.25am.

The only thing that will be new however will be the introduction by David Dimbleby, 68, the original presenter.

Dimbleby will also provide a postscript to the service.

The service will end at 4.05pm.

Diana and her companion Dodi Al Fayed were killed in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris on 31 August 1997 along with their driver Henri Paul, while trying to escape the chasing paparazzi.

The Church of England has published two prayers to mark the 10th death anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales.

The prayers have been written by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, at the request of Diana’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

The prayers, which evoke the Princess' "vulnerability", her "willingness to reach out to the excluded" and her "tragic and untimely death,” will be used at the memorial service at the Guards Chapel on 31 August. (ANI)
