LONDON (AFP) - The single, which features rapper Jay-Z, beat out "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson and "Foundations" by Kate Nash, which finished second and third respectively.

Fergie performed "Big Girls Don't Cry" at the London leg of Live Earth in Wembley Stadium last week.

Timbaland was fourth in the singles charts with "The Way I Are" while Arctic Monkeys rose to fifth place from 23rd with their song, "Flourescent Adolescent".

While the top of the singles charts remained unchanged, two new entries took the top two positions in the British album charts.

Enemy's "We'll Live and Die in These Towns" topped the rankings, followed by Interpol's "Our Love to Admire".
