LONDON (AFP) - Speaking before "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" premieres in the city on July 3, Katie Leung, who plays his classmate Cho Chang, said some of her friends were jealous and that she was unsure how her parents would react.

"He was great," Leung said. "I'm sure everyone wants to know if he was a good kisser, he definitely was."

Radcliffe admitted to an initial bout of nerves while filming the scene, but "after the first few takes, it was fine and we finally started enjoying ourselves."

David Heyman, the producer of the film -- the fifth in the series -- added that many crew members found the scene a turning point in the franchise, having worked with Radcliffe since his 2001 movie debut.

"Many of us have known Daniel since he was 10 years old, have seen him grow up before our eyes, care for him so, and are protective of him ... It was so strange. I kept thinking, 'I shouldn't be watching this'," Heyman said.

The film's stars were full of lavish praise for the latest edition, with Radcliffe describing it as the film he was most proud of.

Co-star Emma Watson -- who plays Potter's friend Hermione Granger -- said it was the "most genuine" of the series.

The stars were also asked what they expect to happen to their characters in the seventh and final book in the series, which is released July 21.

Radcliffe was reticent about venturing his own theories, saying that author J.K. Rowling would "come up with something far more interesting or exciting than anything we can ever predict or imagine."

Watson, however, spoke of her hopes for Hermione: "I want to see her putting her intellect and her naturally very caring nature to some very worthy cause ... generally making the world a better world. Being married to Ron (Weasley, a friend of Potter's, played by Rupert Grint) and having beautiful babies."

The impending publication of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" has sparked feverish speculation about the fate of the book's principal characters, as Rowling said she will kill off two characters, without revealing which ones.

The film will be released in Britain on July 12.
