TAIPEI (AFP) - Gou, head of the Hon Hai Group, met with Kwok during a party following the glittering Golden Horse Awards, dubbed the Chinese-language "Oscars", the United Evening News said.
Gou joked that "I'm really good at choosing the right person because I had chosen him to act in my film before he won the second award," the News said.
"I have faith in him. This award should not be the last one for him," Gou said, while posing for a photo with Kwok.
The 41-year-old Kwok took the award Saturday with his portrayal of a single and abusive father in "After This Our Exile".
Gou was unable to say when the shooting of his first film would be completed.
It tells a story of how a Chinese businessman built up his empire in the Shanxi Province, also Gou's birthplace, during the Qing Dynasty.
Gou, who ranked 147th in the list of Forbes' 2006 richest people with 4.3 billion US dollars worth of assets, said he planned to shoot at least 100 films and television plays.
