Washington, Sept 26: All the press that Sir Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills seems to be getting these days, is of the wrong kind.
The latest being reports in the British media that claim that Mills was thrown out of a Sainsbury supermarket Tyne and Wear, northern England, at the weekend.
The reason – Mills had been caught shoplifting as a teenager at the same store, and given a 20-year ban from entering its doors.
British newspaper The Sun claimed that a store worker had recognized Mills and had promptly asked her to leave the premises.
However, a Sainsbury's spokesman rubbished the reports and said that Mills would be welcome to shop at the supermarket anytime she wanted.
"We can confirm Heather Mills McCartney would be most welcome to shop in any of our stores," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
Heather Mills has never hidden her past as a troubled teen, including being a shoplifter. Candidly admitting to it in her autobiography ‘Out On A Limb’
"By 10 I was an old hand. Pinching food was really quite easy, I discovered," she states in the book.
Mills is currently involved in an increasingly bitter divorce battle with her famous estranged hubby. (ANI)
