Washington, Sept 7: Veteran country singer Bob Dylan's new album, ‘Modern Times’, has debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, making this the artist's first album to hit the top of that charts in 30 years.
The critically acclaimed album sold 192,000 copies in the first week as per Nielsen SoundScan figures. It is Dylan's third consecutive top 10 album, but his first chart-topper since 1976's ‘Desire’.
Dylan, who kicks off a North American tour next month, has won eight Grammys, an Oscar and Golden Globe for "Things Have Changed," and a Peabody Award. He has sold more than 100 million albums in a career that's lasted nearly half a century, reports Eonline!
