Washington, Aug 29: Movie veteran Michael Douglas believes that marrying someone in the same field of work is a good thing for any celeb, for their spouses are more understanding - especially when it comes to enacting love scenes.
The Sentinel star, who is married to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, said that though people think that most celebs hook-up for publicity, the reality is that sustaining such a relationship is easier, for both partners ‘understand the process’ better than a person not involved in the movie biz.
"I realise more and more why industry couples are together. It's a bizarre world. People have an odd reaction to the celebrity thing, it doesn't matter where you are - Washington DC, anywhere. People say it's self-serving for your career, but I just think that two actors understand the process more," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
"You understand your wife doing love scenes with somebody is acting. She knows that if somebody calls you on set and you say, 'I've got to go,' it's because they're ready to shoot. It's been a definite plus," he added. (ANI)
