Dessarae Bradford, who grabbed media headlines by walking on stage while Colin Farrell was being interviewed on Jay Leno's Tonight Show last week, held a press conference Monday to present her side of the story.
Bradford contended that she went to the Jay Leno show, accompanied by a private eye from Counter Force PI Services in Marina Del Rey, California, in order to serve court papers to Colin Farrell.
Admitting that when she walked on to the stage she was not in possession of the court papers, she said her intent was to try and distract Farrell and Leno so that the private eye could serve the papers.
Admitting to her mistake of walking on to the stage she attributed it to a misunderstanding between her and her private eye. Her intent, she claims, in stepping out of her house and coming to the Jay Leno show was merely to avail of a window of opportunity to serve the papers and not to disrupt the show.
The private eye did serve the papers later that night at the premier of Miami Vice in Westwood, Dessarae claimed.
Colin Farrell plays the role of a police detective in Miami Vice, an action thriller that also stars Jamie Foxx.
Bradford contended that the media had their facts wrong since no one had seen the actual footage of the incident.
On her site she has claimed, "Security never came over to us and Mr. Leno never moved from his seat nor summons [sic] his security because Colin was talking to me comfortably with his whole arm draped around me extremely close. He chatted with me as I tried to explain my presence at the show, until he realized people took notice of us talking closely. He then whispered softly for security after he and I were still debating about settling this court matter before going to court."
During the press conference Bradford forcefully asserted that she was an author, not a stalker or a phone sex operator.
Bradford's past accomplishment as an author include My S/M Romp with Alec Baldwin.
She used the press conference to distribute copies of her self published book "Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy"
Bradford had sued Farrell for $5,000 last April accusing him of harassing phone calls, inappropriate cards and text messages. The case was dismissed by a judge who was convinced by Farrell's lawyer that the actor had never met Bradford.
Bradford then filed another suit, this time for $10 million, adding slander to the original harassment allegation.
