LOS ANGELES (AFP) - The trio are set to star in Universal Pictures' "The Kingdom," which will tell the story of a counter-terrorism squad that is sent to investigate a terrorist bombing in a Western residential compound in the Middle East, the Daily Variety said.
The movie will be directed by terrorism Peter Berg, who last year made the successful "Friday Night Lights," about a declining Texas town.
Garner, 34, wife of Oscar-winner Ben Affleck, stars in the hit US television series "Alias," which is drawing to a close.
Foxx, 38, won the best actor Oscar last year for his role as soul legend Ray Charles in "Ray."
Cooper, 54, won the best supporting actor Oscar for his role in 2002's "Adaptation" and has also had roles in such films as last year's Oscar-nominated oil industry movie "Syriana," the Iraq war film "Jarhead," "Capote," and 2003's horse-racing drama "Seabiscuit."
"The Kingdom" will be written by Matthew Michael Carnahan and produced by famed director Michael Mann and Scott Stuber, Variety said.
