Model-turned-actress-turned-fashion designer Caroline D'Amore, 24, was away shooting for her new film leaving her partner Laurent Planeix to hold the fort and take the bows amidst cheers from a packed house.
Seated on the front row among others were Mena Suvari and her fiancé Simone Sestito, and Caroline's socialite pals the Kardashian sisters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian.
BFF Paris Hilton was not seen attending the show.
D'Amore by Marceau collection is stylish with innovative cutaway shapes catering to all shapes of women.
The collection highlights included:
A two piece string bikini, a unique front and back cutout one piece suit and a plunging neckline halter one piece suit all in a range of black and white zebra inspired prints.
Models strutted similar front and back cutout styles in other prints and fabrics, such as white with big golden polka dots, shiny bronze snake skin pattern, etc.
A pink butterfly pattern in two cutout styles of one piece suits stood out, as much for the design as for an enticingly placed tattoo on the model.
Also noticeable were the bandeau one-piece swimsuits in various color-blocked patterns, some with skinny, single-shoulder straps, and others with thin halter straps.
Some of the one piece suits with cutout sides and the skimpy bikinis were done in shiny gold, silver, or copper.
Overall the vibrant colors and patterns of the debut collection D'Amore by Marceau will find plenty takers in all sizes provided they do not mind getting unconventional tan lines.
Caroline, the owner of a pizzeria within her family's D'Amore's Pizza Connection chain and a DJ, has previously walked the runway for Ashley Paige swimwear. She calls her collection wild like '80s and '70s. She has modeled in her own creations and posted pictures on her MySpace page.
Caroline will be seen in the film Pizza with Bullets, where she plays Lisa Tortellini.
She is engaged to Matthew Ross, a writer and a director.
