September 5, 2008 (Sawf News) - Adah Sharma has an effervescence that is infectious, a 'do it' attitude that makes you want to kick butt. When Sawf News asked her why she chose to become an actor her response was endearing: As an actor I can choose to pursue any and every career on screen.
"As a child I wanted to be everything. You know how it is. One week I wanted to be in circus and next week I wanted to be an architect, a vet, a gymnast, at one point I wanted to be a farmer. I think as an actress I can fulfill all my dreams," she said.
Adah, who debuts with Vikram Bhatt's upcoming film 1920 releasing in theaters on September 12, made it to Bollywood without any filmy connection.
Adah Sharma. Photo Credit: Mohit Israni"I don't have any connections. My father works in merchant navy. He is a captain on the ship and my mum is a yoga teacher," she says.
So was it difficult for you to get a break?
"I think you get everything in life that you deserve. I don't think you get things for no reason. There is a reason behind everything you get," he said.
"I did go for a few other auditions and I know why I did not get those…because 1920 was waiting for me. I know 1920 was made for me and I was made for 1920. Like I said things happen for a reason and now I know why I wasn't getting those roles. Things don't fall in place until the final thing is right in front of you," she added.

"Yeah, my mom is already skipping through channels and surfing for the promos everywhere. My dad is very excited too. But my parents would be as happy if I were doing anything else. They are happy in my happiness. Whatever I would have chosen as a career or I would have chosen to do and if I were happy doing it I think they would be happy for me," Adah said.
