September 4, 2008 (Sawf News) - Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming film 1920 features 21-year-old debutante Adah Sharma playing lead in a poignant period drama that pits deep love against sickness, sorrow and horror. The challenging assignment would daunt many established stars, but Adah is unfazed.
Her passionate narration of the plot to Sawf News left us with the distinct feeling that we were talking to someone who would be around in the industry for a long time.

"I play an Anglo Indian girl in the film who is married to a Hindu boy (Rajneesh Duggal). You usually have someone who loves you when life is going well, everything is going fine and things are happy.
"This girl is very fortunate to have a man in her life who sticks with her when things are going sad and she is going through sorrow and pain and deep suffering. When she doesn't look as beautiful as she looked before…she actually looks extremely ugly.. and her body starts to disintegrate slowly …her mental state is not normal either.
"The man continues loving her just as much as he did, maybe even more, than when she was normal and smiling and everything was going well.
"I don't think you get to see such love in 2008, as you get to see in 1920!
"I am sure people's hearts will bleed and we will have a huge fan following after that," she concludes confidently.
Adah managed to get us so excited about the film that hits theatres next Friday, September 12, that we can hardly wait!
Adah Sharma is the only child of Narasimhan Sharma, a captain in the merchant navy, and Sheila, a yoga teacher. She went to Auxilium Convent High School and graduated from Mumbai University with a degree in psychology in March.

Adah Sharma's interview has created inquisitiveness about her role in "1920". I am looking forward to see the movie.
