August 6, 2008 (Sawf News) - Don't panic! She still has them! She has the assets, well at least two that you were thinking about, and she also has the guts. Mallika Sherawat might not be an A-list actress but the lass from the heartland of Jaatland, Rohtak, is no pushover.
Mallika doesn't like to be taken for granted is something that her Ugly Aur Pagli producer, Rangita Nandy, found out in a manner that Rangita won't forget.
While shooting for the film in a Mumbai studio, Rangita Nandy went up to Mallika and told her to hurry up the shots as the studio had allowed the unit only few hours to shoot.
"They have scheduled a technical maintenance and will be shutting down the studio in a few hours time," Rangita told Mallika.
Rather than rush through her shots, Mallika decided to use her considerable charms. She went up to the studio authorities and asked them to give them a few more hours. No ordinarily, we don't think Mallika would have been turned down, assuming the decision maker was a male.
The response from the folks at the studio, however, shocked Mallika, our source on the film set tells us.
"The studio officials told Mallika that PNC, the production company run by Rangita Nandy had not made payments for the earlier two days of shooting with them and that is why they were not prepared to give PNC additional time," our source added.
Mallika, was shocked and incensed at Rangita for having made a fool out of her, and that is when that she decided to get the (emotional) load off her chest.
Mallika went up to Rangita and threw a full blown hissy fit lashing out at her for having painted the wrong picture. The aggravated jaatni cooled down only after Rangita apologized to her.
On an aside, we are wondering why the film's director did not film Mallika's hissy and include it in the film. If nothing else, seeing Mallika breathing heavily as she ranted would have made good viewing. If you know what I mean!
