Photo Credit: AdlabsJune 19, 2008 (Sawf News) - The countdown for release of 'Singh is Kinng' on August 8 has begun with the posting of the film's first promo on its website, which show Akshay Kumar with a lot more facial foliage than in the posters released earlier.
Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Neha Dhupia are seen cavorting to the feisty beat of an item song with eminently forgettable lyrics.
The set looks sumptuous and if the film's script writers have done half as good a job as stylist Shabina Khan, who worked on Akshay's Punjabi look, the film is bound to be a hit.

Initially scheduled to be released on August 15, the film's release was brought forward based on numerology!
Bank rolled by Adlabs, half the film has been shot in Australia and the rest in Punjab, Mumbai and Egypt.
Akshay's look in the film, of a clean shaven Sikh, did not go down too well with the Sikh community.

"If I've made a mistake, lord forgive me and I will try to rectify my mistake," said Akshay.
Parts of the film have been reshot to assuage ruffled feathers. Recent posters of the film, and the promo, show Akshay with a lot more facial foliage than the posters released earlier.
