Photo Credit: Sawf NewsJune 8, 2008 (Sawf News) - Named the sexiest woman alive by the FHM India, Katrina Kaif admits the news brought a smile on her face but says, "It is not something that you take too seriously."
She is probably smart enough to know that the relatively obscure Indian edition of FHM, which has the brand name going for it but not its circulation figures, is selling itself with the hype, as much as it is reflecting Indian perceptions.
Incidentally, Katrina's name does not even figure anywhere on the site of the parent magazine, which unlike its Indian counterpart does have an impressive footprint.
Katrina, cautious about being branded sexy, says she is just happy at having received over 5 lakh votes in the poll to pick the sexiest woman, an indication that she has the support of many people.
"There is a very thin line between being an attractive woman and overtly sexy…For me it's important to be attractive to the family audience. At the same time, it's crucial to have my young fans too," she says.
Katrina's own pick for the sexiest woman in the world is Penelope Cruz, an interesting choice considering that Katrina with a bigger rack would look just like Penelope!
Asked how she would define sexiness, Katrina says,
"When a woman looks as if she has something to offer…A woman is a package. It is not about a physical look - her body, or her face, or her hair - it is about everything put together. When you see a picture of this woman and say - Wow! This person would be really interesting to talk to…she must be interesting to be with..."
Katrina has just returned from the final shoot for Singh is Kinng in Egypt.

She will also make cameo appearances in Hello and Blue. She was reportedly paid a whopping Rs 1.5 crore for her cameo in Blue that includes an item song, an indication of her rising stock in Bollywood.
