Shilpa Shetty's website. Photo Credit: Sawf NewsJune 2, 2008 (Sawf News) - Shilpa Shetty has launched her website, but she isn't planning to blog. The site appears focused on promoting brand Shilpa in general and popularizing her perfume and Yoga DVD in particular.
In her welcome note Shilpa writes:
"This website is a way to keep in touch with my fans around the world. Warm wishes to all of you who have supported me over the years and helped me become who I am today as an actor and a person. Love to all of you."
The only hint of interactivity on the website, as of now, is a link to send an email to Shilpa, a link that invokes your email client rather than a web form.
Shilpa's reference to her fans around the world is interesting. She has the distinction, which some may consider dubious, of being the only Bollywood star with more fans abroad than in India.
