May 12, 2008 (Sawf News) Shah Rukh Khan continues to surprise his fans and the entertainment industry with the full extent of the entrepreneurial streak that he harbors.
The indefatigable star now wants to leverage the technological excellence of his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, to produce TV soaps with an edge!
"It has been my wish to make some program for television through my production house," says Shah Rukh.
Shah Rukh has sought the help of all his friends in the film industry for his new venture.
Shah Rukh, who entered films after making a mark on TV as Abhimanyu Rai in the serial Fauji (1988), perhaps understands the symbiotic relationship between Bollywood and TV better than most.
He has lately been earning more from his endorsements on TV than through his acting in films.
Despite the tepid response received by the new reality game show hosted by him, Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass se Tez Hain, or perhaps because of it, Shah Rukh has now decided to focus on soaps, which have been making money long before the advent of reality TV.
