Photo Credit: PPCMay 1, 2008 (Sawf News) - UP lass Sonal Chauhan is set to become Bollywood's newest debutante with the release of Jannat on May 16, under the banner of Vishesh Films, who in the past have launched actresses like Kangana Ranaut and Mrinalini Sharma.
Sonal is a popular Delhi based model who has appeared in a number of print and electronic media ad campaigns for big brands like L.G, Reliance CDMA, Hero Honda Passion, Nokia, Hindustan Times and Delhi Times.

Jannat will be a test for the acting abilities of Sonal, who blends beauty, simple charm and natural skills.
Almost all models and pageant winners harbor Bollywood ambitions and Sonal is no different. But acting is a tougher job than modeling.

"I play a strong headed girl in the film, who is modern and totally against crime," she says.
Impressed by her acting skills, the Bhatts have signed a three film deal with Sonal, who will be next seen in their forthcoming Raaz 2.
