Photo Credit: AshtavinayakApril 25, 2008 (Sawf News) - The producers of Milenge Milenge, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, are finally seeing light at the end of a long and dark tunnel and are preparing to release the film which was launched in 2006.
Milenge Milenge is based on the 2001 comedy romance Serendipity that featured Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack as a couple who reunite years after the night they first met, fell in love, and separated, convinced that one day they'd end up together.
Serendipity was made on a budget of $28 million and grossed $50 million at the box office.
Milenge Milenge, written and directed by Satish Kaushik, was completed in January 2007. However, its post production stretched for more than a year because of financial difficulties faced by its producer Boney Kapoor.
The film, which additionally features Aarti Chhabria, Satish Shah and Delnaaz Paul, was put on hold again because Shahid and Kareena got busy with Jab We Met, and were not available for dubbing.
According to tabloid reports Kareena did not want the film to release before Jab We Met, which she felt had a better chance to succeed at the box office.
Shahid Kapoor has now finished dubbing for the film.
"Kareena will dub as soon as she returns from abroad," says Kaushik.
