Photo Credit: IANSApril 14, 2008 (Sawf News) - Director Ken Ghosh has denied recent tabloid reports that he wants to replace Jiah Khan with Katrina Kaif in lead role for his next film, even though Jiah has already shot for the film.
"Jiah is a sweet heart," Ghosh clarifies.
"We don't have any problems at all. No one is being replaced," he adds.
Ghosh thinks the rumors started because Jiah had to leave the set of his film to shoot for Aamir Khan's Ghajini.
He says filming is currently suspended because Shahid Kapoor sprained his neck recently and is out of action for some time.
Shahid, who plays a dancer in the film being bank rolled by UTV, has grown his hair, toned up and lost some weight for his role.
Ghosh, however, contradicts himself when he concedes that there maybe a need to replace Jiah after all!
"After we get Shahid's dates, we'll first coordinate with Jiah. At this moment, I'm not even thinking of options in case Jiah's dates don't work out. She's my first choice," he says.
According to reports, Katrina was all set to replace Jiah, after having been promised a whopping paycheck of Rs 3.5 crore, but backed out claiming she did not have dates.
The rumor mill has it that Katrina backed out because boyfriend Salman Khan asked her to do so; Salman apparently has scores to settle with Shahid that go back to a time when they were on tour together.
