She is also a serial style and fashion offender. Yet she holds an uncanny sway over Indian audiences.

Kajol bucks conventional wisdom when it comes to what audiences want actresses to do on screen - doll up in western outfits, show their curves and cavort to item songs - because she does none of that.
Kajol is beautiful but we think she takes her beauty too seriously and goes overboard with her non styling and 'just-as-god-made-me' looks. Her uni brows for example. Since when has a uni brow been considered anything but uggh!
Despite being an A-list actress she is generally out of ideas when dressing up, repeating some pet styles ad nauseum, unmindful of whether or not they suit her.
At a recent event to promote U Me Aur Hum, Kajol wore tight white boot-cut pants with a short top, when her legs are anything but slim and shapely.
At several other promotional events for the film she wore a bajuband, probably a good luck charm, which did little more than highlight her thick arms.
The white bangles she wore at Manish Malhotra's fashion show during Lakme Fashion Week was worst than her choice of churidar set.
Her choice of jewelry with the dress was pretty random and totally out of whack.
Kajol's name never figures when tabloids repeatedly rake up the 'who is the No 1 actress in Bollywood today' debate. Yet no one doubts it is she.
Similarly her name never figures when paychecks are discussed. Even though we are not interested we know Aishwarya gets Rs 4 crore per film, Kareena gets Rs 3.5 crore, Katrina Rs 3.0 crore and Priyanka Rs 2.0 crore.
Does anyone know what Kajol gets? Does anyone even care?
So how come she can still swoon audiences, like Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra can never do.
You might think it is because she is superbly talented; having won four Film Fare Best Actress awards, but that would just be part of the reason. Isn't Jaya Bachchan talented too? She has won three Film Fare Best Actress awards and a lot more.
Besides being talented, Kajol is also sexy. Maybe sexy is not the right word. We could say she represents a woman who male audiences country wide dream about as their spouse, but that would be just a long winded way of saying she is sexy, wouldn't it?
According to recent research done in universities of Durham, St Andrews and Aberdeen, subtle sexual signals emanate from the shape of the jaw, nose size or narrowness of the eyes -- although people were not always sure about their judgments.
The study added that women who give off come-to-bed looks are considered the most attractive by both men and women.
In other words, being sexy is all in the face.
