March 28, 2008 (Sawf News) - Dressed in a glittery black shirt and dupatta with a black and grey print Patiala salwar, Rani Mukerji left the Chhote Ustaad audience in Kolkata spell-bound with her charm and warmth during the recent recording of the show, to be aired on Star Plus, Saturday, 10 PM, March 29.
She had left her dark brown colored hair open with a side parting.
She received a grand welcome from the show host and audience and addressed them in Bengali telling them how delighted she was to return to her home town after long.

She came across as very warm and encouraging to the contestants, Aishwarya and Anvesha, dancing, singing and lip-syncing with them. She also dragged the judges on to the stage and forced them to shake a leg with her in the girls' jugalbandi round.
She was so impressed by the singers, who sang songs filmed on her, that she requested music director and show judge, Pritam, to use the girls' voice for her in her next movie.

The two finalists also sang Bengali songs to the delight of the Rani and the audience.
At one point Rani reprimanded the judges for being tough on the girls. Encouragement, the girls loosened up and gave an improved follow-up performance.
The event became a complete thriller, when Rani herself crooned a sweet Bengali folk song and a Bhajan for the crowd.
