Photo Credit: Sawf News / IANS15 September 2007 (Sawf News) - Subhash Ghai is making a comeback as director with the film Yuvraaj after a hiatus of two years. He last directed Kisna: The Warrior Poet (2005) a film that flopped at the box office.
Ghai directed his first film - Kalicharan - in 1976 and since then he has directed over 15 films with a mixed record.
Filming for Yuvraj, budgeted at Rs 500 million (Rs 50 crores), commenced on 12 September when a song composed by A R Rahman and penned by Gulzaar was shot in Khandala.
Produced by Ghai's Mukta Arts Entertainment, Yuvraaj stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan, Katrina Kaif and Boman Irani.
Kabir Lall will wield the camera , Omung Kumar (Black and Saawariya) is the art director and Shiamak Davar the choreographer.
Next week the entire unit is moving to Western Europe for a 21 day shooting schedule.
