Star-wife Twinkle Khanna’s lifestyle store ‘White Windows’ is going great guns. She has not only opened a new branch in Mumbai and won an award, but also bagged an international décor assignment. She says she will never return to Bollywood in spite of having made a success of her career as a lead actress. She is happy being the wife of busy actor Akshay Kumar and mother to their son Aarav. Mumbai: Nov 7, 2005/Sawf News Service/ -- Daughter of the legendary superstar Rajesh Khanna and beautiful actress Dimple Kapadia, Twinkle Khanna Kumar made her entry into Bollywood early in her life. “By God’s grace, my daughter will do better than me,” a proud Rajesh Khanna said at that time. And true to his words, Twinkle became the leading lady of stalwarts like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan and others and managed to entice the best banners in town. But at 24, she decided to marry and settle down to home making and motherhood. She married action hero Akshay Kumar and has been a happy star wife for the past several years. She has a son called Aarav. But having retired from films, Twinkle did not ‘retire’! She chose to become an intrepid entrepreneur with her home décor business. “I am pleased with the success of my business today. I design spaces and I think this profession can last me a lifetime instead of a film career which is transient,” she says. With her home décor and accessory shop called White Windows being counted among the top ten lifestyle stores in India by the Elle Décor Magazine last year, Twinkle was on top of the world. This year, she has opted for an impressive expansion plan and opened a new store and won her first award for design. She has bagged an international project too. An excited Twinkle says, “I hope my career continues to be as rewarding as it is now.”
