Patna, Sep.23 (ANI): With Big B taking an interest in the rapidly growing Bhojpuri film industry, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha has also decided to return to this genre of film after more than two decades.

A large number of music lovers gathered here recently for the release of the music of the Bhojpuri film Raja Thakur in which Sinha stars.

Sinha released the album in the presence of many other celebrities.

Among those present were the film's lead actress Nagma and noted Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari who is also producing the film.

Shatrughan Sinha plays the central role of Raja Thakur. 'Shotgun' Sinha's last Bhojpuri production was Bihari Babu, which he did in the 1980's.

"I did the movie for my motherland. It is a tribute to my mother as Bhojpuri is also my mother tongue. I have earlier done a Bhojpuri film but it was long ago. I am excited and thrilled and will continue to work in projects that excite me," said Sinha.

Raja Thakur is a treat for movie buffs as the film casts two most popular stars of Bhojpuri cinema, Manoj Tiwari and Nagma with action-packed drama. The film is about one's roots and traditions and is expected to evoke a huge public response.

"It is my fortune to work with my dream star, Shatrugan Sinha. I hope to work with him in the near future as well," said Manoj Tiwari.

Actress Nagma said she was quite satisfied with her role in the film and expressed a wish to do more Bhojpuri films.

"I love the culture of these movies. They are close to our traditions and have still maintained those values which are no more visible in Hindi cinema," said Nagma.

Directed by Tinu Verma, Raja Thakur will be released sometime in October.

In the recent years, Bhojpuri cinema has touched new heights, attracting a number of Bollywood actors to an emerging regional film medium. (ANI)
